Malaysia has been taking the centre stage in world news but not in a way that we would want. Not this.
Malaysian Airlines flight MH 370 enroute from Kuala Lumpur to Beijing has been missing with 239 souls on board since last Saturday. It is now the fourth day since its disappearance but as yet no real clue as to its fate.
At the moment, we can only hope against all hope that they remain safe ….and pray…….and keep the light burning for them.
I’m so glad you were not on that flight. As soon as I heard about it I thought of you.
this is pretty sad. 😦 I hope they are found as well. alive.
I also thought of you when I heard about this. I have been following the story very closely. It is so sad and must being incredibly painful for the families just ‘not knowing’ if their loved one is truly dead or not. Since half of the flight was comprised of Chinese nationals that means that if they are dead a lot of parents have just lost their one and only child and possibly grandchild. We know their were at least two infants on board.
If they are dead, than I pray it was quick and they didn’t suffer.

It’s really sad, I feel so badly for the families of the folks on the plane.
So sad and awful.
geewits,
Thanks for thinking of me. However, my days of traveling on the job are mostly past. Hope you are well. I miss your blog.
emerrube,
I guess as long as there is no evidence of a crash, we can still have hope.
melanie,
Indeed, this would be a sad blow to any family but even more so to those with only one child due to the Chinese government policy. I am sadden and horrified by the mishandling and contradiction by Malaysian authorities that have only added to the anguish of those waiting to hear about their loved ones.
Secret Agent,
In a situation like this it is hard for the loved ones. Should they hang on to hope? Or will that only mean a bigger fall if bad news is finally confirmed? The long wait for answers really takes a toll.
Riot Kitty.
Still hoping until the end, one way or the other.
When I heard this on the news, as some of the others mentioned, I, too, thought about you. There is so much speculation in the news. I just hope they find the plane and those left behind either get their loved ones back or closure.
lue,
Thanks for thinking of me but I am safe(although facing unhealthy air pollution and water rationing in KL). Let’s continue to pray for a quick conclusion to this search for the airline for the sake of those anxiously awaiting news of their loved ones.
This is truly the unthinkable, LGS, all the moreso because it hits so painfully close to home. If by some miracle the plane and its passengers somehow survived this mystery, the world will surely rejoice with you. Until then….prayers. Lots of them.
Squirrelmama,
Now it seems that the plane was deliberately diverted by human hand. So much misery from such an act. We continue to hope that the passengers and crew are alive and continue to keep vigil with all the anxious relatives.
